Any fix for rattling windows, yet? Well, my driver’s side window motor gave up and I'm going to be changing it out later this afternoon. I figured I'd check with you guys to see if there was any fix for another notorious problem...window rattle. I'm pretty sure everyone’s familiar with this. If ya ain't got it now, don't worry you'll get it .
Does anyone know how I can stop or minimize this problem?

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? ah..i never thought i'd see this post. i lost count of how many times my car has been back to the dealer re: this problem on both doors! and per the dealer, everything has been replaced inside the door to include the outer rubber that meets the glass. i hope someone is able to post a fix. the only thing that eases my frustration with this car and all the mods (which has been nothing but bad luck)is the fact that it's a writeoff! otherwise i woulda threw a grenade under it a long time ago! <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? Why move it to appearance and detailing? If it's something internal inside the door, that's not an appearance issue.
Anyway, my driver's side door started this last night and mine is a babied garage queen, so it's annoying hearing all these rattles starting to creep up on a car with only 15,000 miles that sits in a garage all the time except on the weekend when I drive it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? I have it bad on my drivers side, to crack my window down means almost half way down without the rattle, i bet there's some rivets inside that needs to be tightened up.

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? mine does it on both windows. i always thought it was the little screw inside, towards the back of the door that touches the window. it also scratched my window all up on both sides <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> damn gm build quality.

I noticed that the newer models 01's & 02's don't have this problem, at least not yet. Unfortunately

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? I think I may have an answer for this one. I recently had the driver and passenger window replaced. I wanted tinted glass, and did not want a transfer film. Once replaced, the windows lost their rattles, either up or down. I took some quick measurements, and it appears that my new windows are 1.15 mm thicker than stock. Strange, huh? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

2002 here, 10k miles, and it's doing ths same ****...I pulled the door panel because the window rattles like a sack of loose change when its down. I figured that the felt stops up top were the answer, because that was the problem on my old IROC once, and they had more play than a $.25 corner ***** in Harlem. So, I adjusted em up snug, but not too tight so there's still a cushion... No more rattle, or so I thought, but its like, the lower part of the window making the noise, not the top. Now that the top is snug, it's better, but it's still rattling a bit...anyone ever find a fix?

Re: Any fix for rattling windows, yet? I took mine in to the dealer and it was a -window stabilzer- in the door that had broken and after that it was ok, but as for with the windows down and shutting the door hard, yea it still sounds like ****.
