nightshade on just the reverse light has anyone done it
im thinkin about just night shading my reverse light cause i like the look of the red tail lights with a red car. just want to tint the reverse lights to make them less noticable. i think it will look cleaner
does anyone have any pics, if they made a sticker or something to go over it that would be so much easier.
thanks, Chris

crimsonbird did a set like that on some early 4th gen Camaro tails and it looks alright IMO. Although it kinda sucks because it will decrease your visibility when reversing at night, and if you have tint on the rear window it will seem even worse. maybe consider doing light (50%) tint on your tails..

Quickie photochop for you (best I can do in a few min, not a pro at this).
Tinted...
...and blacked.
*edit* went ahead and did a quick ceta mod to the blacked out reverse light one. Black may be a little dark but it was another quickie job.

crimson that is just the reverse light right and did you use night shade and just tape it off i think it looks really good.
sparky thanks for the chop i think they look good on a red car.
but on mikes car i think it looks better with the clear reverse light.
i think it depends on the color of the car but your guys cars look good thanks

i agree with you about other colored cars, some look good with it clear. but i felt the clear really took away from
the black/red theme i had going.

care for the clear lighting, so a couple shades darker, with everything else blacked out would look good to me. i
was going to do it at the time i was doing this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...s-how-tos.html -just never
finished it...
DO IT!!!

these on my camaro years ago and they still hold on great, and really clean up the look a lot. i love them.
they used to sell through they're own site, but not anymore. you can get them through afterthoughtsauto.com
or WS6store.com -and they come in kits made to fit all of the f-body key holes

don't use vht take it to a local painter. I paint and if you use clear with black tint it shines through way better. My buddy did vht, and it was just dull not just him along with all the rest. Clear and black best way to go. I like the black reverse lights, but seeing through 5% is hard enough in my ss. So i doubt i'll do it on t/a

OHH MY EFFING GOODNESS!!!!. there just has to be atleast 1 painter to come into every thread involving some
sort of spray paint, to come in and bash the idea completely.
i understand that black/clear spray gunned on would look great, but damn, do you guys really need to do this
**** every time? this is NOT just directed at you, its for anyone sitting on their damn pedestal looking down at
everyone who uses VHT. its just really irritating having this happen in EVERY thread. why not just throw it out
as another option, instead of the only option.
end rant...
