ya, I just think it would look better if it matched the black or didnt have the dimples, something more like the E55 shrouds, only I'd want them body matched rather then chrome since i don't have any chrome

the more i look at these the more picky i get and makes me want to just retrofit

Thanks. They did look good. Especially after fixing the gap.

There was a guy on here that removed the halo's on his sonar's. You could try that and paint the chrome ring black.

I have the sonars, and the weatherstripping on one light has completely come off in under 2 months of use and the fitment is utterly horrible and the headlight actually shakes bad like its not in right but it is. Combined with a bad ddm ballast, can't say im thrilled! When the car comes out of storage, mucho work to be done. I think i got a bad batch.

I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to projectors, what size bulb do you use? If i'm not mistaken there's 2-3 different projector style headlights for Camaro's. I still have one of the first sets that came out and they are horrible! I want to upgrade to those sonar ones but i want to know what bulbs they use. Anyway here's a couple of pics of my current ones.

I got the sonars as well and the gap is terrible. Not to mention the rubber started to come off within a week. Going to get the projectors and use washers to get rid of the gap. Ebay has projectors that come with hid already installed. All plug and play. I might try those out

So it sounds like the sonars are a better projector setup? (even though to me the eagle eyes do look a bit better) Can you swap the bulb for say a ddm tuning HID H1 bulb kit?

Ec Nova,

Your setup is exactly what I would love to have. I want a projector to have the really nice cutoff and better visibility but, I hate all these extra things aftermarket headlights have.

I can't wait for it to be done! I'm a little worried about how they'll be aligned... but worst case I'll buy another set of projectors and do my other set of headlight... except take my time and do it right lol

I've seen those too... if I had the money I'd buy them just to experiment with them. They use an H1 bulb like the Sonars, and have a deeper projector, so it is possible they are decent, but not guaranteed. I wonder who makes them. If it is Eagle Eyes I'd be doubtful of the projector quality and cutoff, personally.

You cant. You need to open them up and paint them.
