You just inspired me to pull out my wifes sewing machine and give it a shot when I get my new car this week. The interior has rips like crazy in all the seats. I noticed you re-used the middle pieces of the seat behind the new covers for the ridges and patterns. That is the main part of the seats that are destroyed in the new bird I am getting. So how can I replicate that? I was thinking some thin foam, 1/4" maybe and the fabric behind it and sew them together? Any thought would be appreciated and I will be posting my results.
