No, I heard they don't work and everyone hates them and has instead switched to using flash lights and hand signals. It's a bit tricky, but when you get the timing down it's not too bad. I tried using matches, but just don't think I was getting optimal light output

Am I correct in thinking that these are the correct ones to buy?

^Those are what I bought. Got them really fast as well. I have a quick question for those that have done this.
How many EL12 flashers do I need to buy so I can install everything?

2, one for the turn signal module and one for the hazard module.

Has anyone else had problems with the bulbs not staying in the socket snug? On my WS6 and old Camaro the DRL sockets were so burnt up from a poor design that these bulbs wont even stay in them. The only way I am getting it to work is buy holding it in. So for now I had to put the silverstars back in.

^ My dad got me a replacement socket at Pepboys for like $10. The bulb fits alot better but I might use a little silicone for extra help.

Can I just replace the yellow bulb with an LED white replacement? I don't care if it's white all the time, even if it flashes white, I have turn signals for that purpose.

Yes. I did with some "13W" eBay ones but they have a blue-ish tinge when dimmed. I am thinking about buying the latest ones from Autolumination:

This pic is with some OTHER cheap eBay ones that melted later that day (or the day after...):

To those of you who have run the autolumination 48s, how long have they lasted so far? Or how long did they last?

I've been running red turn signals with a clear side marker in front with red led bulbs and no one has said a thing for around 2 years.

It'll stay like that until someone gets this to work, and they offer it in red...

I'd like red for drl and white for parking light and headlights...

Thank you for the response.

Would anyone else like to share whether or not their 48's were successful?

No more input from anyone? This forum isn't what it used to be.
