Default Thinking about getting a new hood.....

Well just like it says i'm thinking about getting a new hood for the TA this is how the car looks now.....

I was thinking of going to go with the VFN Ram air hood, here are a few pics I found with the hood on some TA"s

(I got these off www.vfnfiberglass.com not my pictures)
If I do get one it will be pretty soon I like them alot but not sure if i'm going to get one let me know what ya'll think !

i think this says it all. in the end its your car, so you should get what you like, since you're the one driving it.

but since you asked whet we think... i personally think its too big for a street driven car, or even a track only car. the ONLY way i feel that hood should be used is if you absolutely need it for clearance. other than that, its a no-go in my book. but that's just me.

edit* if i had something that damn big under the hood, that would actually be an issue with clearance, id cut a f%@kin hole in the stock hood to show whats inside... gotta show it off to the world, let em know what you're working with

Never cared the VFN. looks like a huge mohawk on the car. stick to stock WS6 or a firehawk hood. mecham is the only aftermarket hood I like on our cars

Hard to beat a stock ram air hood, but I went with VFN's WS9 outlaw hood. I'm pretty happy with the look.
Shitty iphone pic (still need to put the grills in):

IMO our cars dont have a lot of ugly hood choices. that being said a lot of people HATE that huge vfn hood. I think its a great alternative to a fat cowl, but just like cowl hoods they dont belong on cars that are all show no go (again, imo)

i saw your sig, so im not ripping on the OP, but i personally prefer the less obvious hood. Whether you go with a superhawk, raptor (my fav), ws6, ws9, mecham, shaker, WHATEVER, i think itll look good. Hell, the only hood im not a fan of is the stock firechicken hood, and i like it enough to still have it on my car, haha.

anyway, the only thing i say you HAVE to do is post pics when you get it on and painted.

another vote for the raptor hood. my wife's formula had the raptor hood on it and it was the single most attraction of the car, always got tons of compliments. It's aggressive yet not too big/tall.
