Its not a fog its more like a smokers film . But the catch is I dont smoke . My heater
core definitely isnt bad

I'll do this, if I do find it's wet what is the next step? Is the heater core hard to replace or maybe just a hose gone bad?

It does that too if you've smoked in your car. Rain-x is your best bet

My money is on the heater core also.
I've had heater core leaks before on my older cars, & I can guarantee that was the same result, foggy windshield.

I know exactly what you're talking about, it's definitely not fog (from water) I get it all the time. Usually i use armor all cleaning wipes but that's not the problem cuz I saw the "film" before i started using them. It's a pita to get to the front part of the windshield. Is your "film" oily? I'll check tomorrow to see if mine's back. I'd also like to figure out how to stop this... it's really annoying. By the way my interior panels are totally stock.

Maybe one of you detail or glass guys know what this is...

i have the same problem, everry time i step on the gas it gets worse, it fogs up so bad that i cant see trew the windsheid....its got to be the heater core...
