I was thinking of doing my spoiler flat black to make the berger panel, but i can't decide if it would look good or ricey and stupid... Anyone have pics?

I say dumb. It'll look like a spoiler that isn't painted, but I'm also not a fan of the Berger panel either.

Could always paint just the underside black. I'm partial though.

I like that idea. Body color with gloss black on the bottom. How much would a shop charge just to color match a spoiler and spray it? I would do the prep work.

I don't really see how painting the underside makes it look cheap but to each his own. I couldn't tell you how much because I have a personal painter that is a friend. I can say that I have gotten alot of compliments on mine with just a few dislikes.

I dont think painting the underside makes it look cheap. I think it would look cheap if the whole spoiler looked like it just had a coat of black primer and the rest of the car was green, or any other color for that matter. I'd like to see some pictures if someone had one.

For me:
Visually, it makes the spoiler look thinner/cheaper.
Ascetically, it makes it look like the person was too cheap to paint the whole thing. Kind of like someone who wanted to paint a room in their house, but didn't move any of the pictures hanging on the wall.

i dont think it looks cheap, it just looks "aftermarket" instead of "oem"

i think since the spoiler stands out, it makes it look like an add on instead of part of the flowing lines of the car.

but at the end of the day, its your car!

First off thanks for the input, opinions are good. I can understand a little about it not looking oem. And thats exactly what I wanted to do with this car. Try to keep oem type components but make it original at the same time. In my opinion if I had painted all of it white and the same with the hood then it would look like a stock ss(except the badges). And that is exactly what I didn't want to do. I don't have an SS and I'm not trying to turn my Z28 into one. I just want a original looking Z28.

Someone photoshop the black continuing onto the fenders, wonder how that would look.

EDIT: Got bored and did it in my paint program real fast. Is it me or does it look like it has a uni brow now?

Painting the whole spoiler flat back would look cheap, but I also don't like the berger panel anything other than factory painted like someone else said. The white Z28 with the black underside painted on the spoiler doesn't look to bad though.
