Unhappy Pontiac rear bumper inserts??

Ok, A while ago I saw lots of those bubble decals that go into the molded "pontiac" on our rear bumpers of 93-02 firebirds. I can only find two people selling flat vinyl ones now.

Where can I find those inserts? I want black ones, but the bubbled kind...

THANKS!

Cody

can you give me details on it? Which one did you get, I see there are two options on the website. For the polished ones, is it a clear plasic over the top of vinyl to give it color?

Do you have a closeup of your inserts? I like how they look from a distance btw!

I got the composite ones. They are a little thicker and IMO look a lot better than the flat vinyl ones.

emblempros does have the fill ins, but they are not "bubbled", they lay flat/flush with the car. i have them and really like them. http://emblempros.com/inserts_overlays

Unfortunately, RKSports doesnt carry their fillins for firebirds, only camaros. i believe theirs are domed, so they would have more of the "bubbled" look you're going for. http://rksport.com/main/part_detail....mdid=1&catid=1

if you want a mirror like finish, get the polished Stainless Steel ones. the quality of them and the shine they have looks amazing. got these for the camaro. looks perfect

the composite ones are like a rubber type material (not shiny/mirror like), and come in all the colors. got these on my trans am in black and really like them.

get the acrylic if you want the mirror type finish with any color you choose

Yeah I bought the 4" clones off of ebay. It was a pain to get them on, because they fill the space so well. The guys at the exhaust shop had to hammer on a few of the pipes to make them fit right. They're hard to keep clean though, because it's my DD. I've been thinking about getting them PCed black or something to be easier to clean.

do they stick out past the bumper? Like if I buffed the car, would the buffer catch on the emblems?

hmm, sounds like the composite are the ones I would want. I dont really want the shine of chrome, as my panel between the taillights has a silver formula and bird.

Ill ask you too, do they stick out past the bumper so they would catch if I wanted to buff out the bumper?

I went with the stainless steel inserts, and I love em'. Emblempros was the most affordable place also.

Yeah, if you do buff or polish, you'll need to be careful around them, they stick out just a little bit past the inset. Last time I did mine, afterwards I just went with a microfiber and denatured alcohol to get residue off of the inserts.
