Default Show me your Trufiber Ultra Z hood!

Hey everybody,

I am thinking about buying a Trufiber Ultra Z hood, could some people post up some pictures of these hoods installed, All I ever see is it in white and not installed. A little about the fit and finish too if you don't mind....

Thank you,

Zach

Could you link me, I guess I am an idiot, but I can't find em...Just the SLP or VFN... Just want to see one installed and painted, and what the difference is between the two, it looks like the mouth is smaller, but not sure.

You're really not going to see any variation between the brands, just like SS hoods and WS6 hoods. Trufiber and vfn both make great hoods, so it's really just whichever you feel like buying from

Zax, my TruFiber SS hood will be here tomorrow. The factory hood on my SS was cracked all to hell so I ordered one from TruFiber. I know it's not the ultraZ hood, but i'll post pics as quickly as I can for you.

Thanks I appreciate it... honestly I have not seen an ultra Z hood in person just in pictures, and if somebody has one they I wish they would post it. Trufiber is on the west coast and if it is the same thing as the Ultra Z hood by SLP I would like to get it and sell my ss hood

To answer the OP's question... Yes, the Trufiber Ultra Z hood design is different than the SLP design. Your eyes are not deceiving you. The opening is smaller. The VFN Utlra Z-style hood is more like the original SLP design. No useless links here. But, food for thought.

Sorry it took a couple days for the pics. Hood made it here a day late, and another day until I got it on. It's not adjusted perfectly yet, but the hood fits pretty good. It's not 100%, but im really satisfied!
