What about in drag racing tech? My suggestion would be to look there.

so for those who've done this, did you have to pull the dash in the car to get it loose or is there something i'm missing? and who other than BMR makes the A/C delete cover?

so pretty much take my hammer to it? i'd like to sell this thing (doubt anyone will buy it but i'll try it lol) so if i don't want to take a hammer to it i'm pulling the front dash?
if you want to do it the right way the dash needs to come out,
unless you plan on keeping the heater?
pulling the "A/C" is easy.. pulling the HVAC, the total system, is a dif. story

yeah i plan on keeping the heater portion and from the few threads out there i know i need to get a dremel and cut some stuff behind the box in the engine bay . . . . so i'm still stuck with using a hammer? lol
I took my AC out a while ago and then after the H/C install I realized that I'm making enough power and it was hot out at the time so why not be comfortable. Unless you are building a track car, of course. So I polished the new receiver/dryer canister and the rest of the visible parts, threw it back in and brought it down to have a vacuum test done on it and recharge it.
The removal was pretty cut and dry. Just be sure to have the system evac'd properly. Please don't release the refrigerant into the atmosphere. The EPA carries HEAVY fines for that and it seriously destroys ozone.

Hey King If you pull it out then will you sell me your A/C compressor brackets, and your lines and bolts? Also Ive pulled more A/C systems off of cars than you could imagine. I used to work at a A/C shop before I got deployed. Ask me your questions and I will help you out.

i never used my AC when the car was running, you get better gas mileage having the windows down instead of using the AC . . . i tested this out a few times lol

this is where i am right now:

i've removed the five or six 10mm bolts on the exterior, now do i just take a hammer and beat the **** out of it or can i pull the dash off and pull it through the inside of the car?
That thing has the fan that blows the heat through the vents in it. If youre willing to sacrifice heat then yea take a hammer beat the plastic off of it, take the rest of it apart from the outside and under the dash and then either buy a plate for the hole in the firewall or make your own. I like the look of one held in by rivits.
