Got my ws.9 out law hood(finally)

Anyways. the hood was near a month late,so it's was about 9 1/2 to 10 weeks for the hood to get here. The body shop called last wed and said your hood is done and painted....WHAT? I tracked it the night before and it said it was in tennesee and now it's painted. I didn't even get to see it before it was painted and I had it put on today. The hood looks great,shiny as hell but,needs adjusting alot to get it looking good. Also,when i got into the driver seat i hate how tall it is. YES I HATE HOW TALL IT IS! I didn't know it was just over 6'' tall and for me,it could of been just a lil shorter for a street car. over all if to do again i would not and would keep the stocker. but,i will keep it and see if it grows on me for now. If not,then i sell it and move on. I took some pics,i see there are some already on here,but i'll post anyway. I don't know how to post pics,so beare with me while i try this. Thanks,mike.

Do you remember how much it cost to get your hood painted? I just picked up an OEM Ram Air hood recently, just need to get it painted to match my car. All the estimates I keep getting seem to be really high.

Not sure where you're getting 6" from, but at the cowl I beleive it's closer to 3.5-4" above a normal trans am hood, or about 2" higher than a WS6 hood. I went from a regular trans am to the ws9 outlaw, and at first it was weird looking out and seeing the raised section, but I've gotten used to it now.

yeah i definitely don't see where 6" is coming from. thats like a 3-4 inch rise. But, i do know that shock feeling of seeing it in person compared to online. when i first opened the pack for my camaros hood i was read to send it back, it looked sooo tall. but once it was on and painted i loved it.

I stuck a tape measure from where the hood touches to the top. it was just over 6''. Maybe it's only a few taller then stock,but still taller then i thought. the hood cost $230 for paint and to the other guy,i'm 70mi north of detroit. I tried to add the pics to this post and it's not working. Any help would be good here.

i'm going to manage attatchments at bottom,browse then upload. keeps saying upload files failed.
Also,having a hard time getting the hood to move forword that last 1/2in to sit right. it can't go any further. TIPS??
