Default Got my ws.9 out law hood(finally)

sorry guys no pics yet. The car is a black ws.6 with silver detail in the lettering and front plate. The hood will be painted at end of this week and should be on and ready for pics by mid next week. I wanted this hood for two years and finally bought one. The six week wait sucks and V.F.N should do something to shorten that wait for the money their **** cost. I'll throw some pics as soon as the car gets home. Thanks, Mike c.

And they didn't ship it when they said, they shipped real late. thats why there are no pics yet. bitch at v.f.n.lol The pics from different views before and after will be here soon. i think tuesday you will get the before pics and I will use this post, not start a new one.

Just got mine in last friday... I'll try to snap some pics as well. I love the way the hood looks but the only issue I'm having with mine is that the drivers side edge seems to sit a little too high. i lowered all the bumpers but still having a fitment issue. I brought this issue up to a friend of mine and he says that it is a common problem... I am probably gonna call VFN after work today and see what they say about it.

From my understanding VFN makes the "Outlaw" version which appears to sit about 1.5-2" taller than a factory WS6.

Truefiber makes the standard WS9 hood that sits no higher than the factory WS6 in the back

I've got one 2nd hand that was made originally by Roger @ US exotics and the driver's side along the fender is a little bit higher as well. I'm going to try raising the fender just a hair to see if it can balance it out.

that's right, you bought yours from fireball correct? anyway from what I hear Roger @ US exotics sold his mold for the Outlaw WS9 to VFN. that makes sense if the problem was in the original mold for it to be a flaw in mine as well. I would imagine your hood pins would help to compensate for the problem but the part that raises may be too far back for them to have any effect.

Have you tried notching the holes for the hinges and see-sawing them a bit until it's lowered?

The problem is that the hood itself has too much curviture. So it's flush at the back near the cowl, and flush down by the headlights, but it is about an 1/8" too high at the highest point. I'm not overly concerned because there are numerous other 'ouches' on my car that make it a 5-10 footer.

One of these days it'll go into a body shop and have those corrected and I'll work on the hood as well.
