You are gonna have to take the fenders off as well as extend all the wires that about all I know. It shouldn't be that difficult.

Pics of the kit you picked up?

take off door panels.

disconnect all wiring, dont cut anything, just unplug it from its piggyback connectors. back the wiring harness out of the door. You might want to label everything so you know where to put it back just 1,2,3...etc so you can match the number back up when re-installing it.

take off fenders. you will have to take off the bumper and the under siding of the bumper, as well as the inner fenders for this. Its easy don't get intimidated.

use thin wooden shivs to keep the door at its current height against the body of the car.

duct tape the door in place so it doesn't move. im talking 20-30 pieces all around the door.

unbolt the door hinge from the frame.

use a sharpie to trace the inner circle of the top bolt

remove the hinge from the door.

hold up the vertical hinge to the factory hinge's bolt openings, making sure the top bolt hole is lined up exactly where the factory tracing is.

it should fit flush, you may have to trim the inner fender its thick metal, but only stamped and not structural. get a grinder its easy and fun and wont hurt your car.

bolt the hinge down as soon as its flush.

bolt the hinge to the door.

put the wiring back in

put the door panels back on.

I have always heard you had to extend the wiring. I didn't have to on my car, not sure if its a myth or my car for some reason just had extra wiring, but im betting its just a myth or rumor. I extended one side and then realized i didn't need to, so i didn't extend the other side and it worked perfect. You will more than likely have to get new shocks because our doors are heavy and wear them out fast, get a 750 pound shock not the standard 250, those are for hondas

you might get sick of them, a guy at my work had them on his car and took them off cause they were too annoying to open and close.

I do agree, guy I knew had em and i hated getting in and out of his car. But for strictly show car it shouldn't be too annoying. IMO the vertical doors or whatever you wanna call them won't look good, and I don't know much about them but will they support our doors? They are fairly heavy and without some kind of piston to hold it up seems like it won't last long.

id allow for the argument that our cars are a better candidate for them, what with the length of the doors. That said i wouldnt do it; but thats what this sections all about.

Regardless, in for pics

Not the one I've seen but then again it was only one kit & there are probably several differant ones. All I know is it was really awkward to open & close & get in & out of. But thats not that big of a deal since its a show car... Just don't let anybody see you bang your head the first few times lol.

it depends on the kit as stated before. theres a guy around me with a honda and his doors open both ways. i dont like the vert doors unless it actually opens high enough otherwise its a pia to get in and out

Thanks for the write up they goin on sunday cuz i am striping them and sprayin them the color of the car.... to give it a lil more show quilty...

but Yes these can open both ways vertical or normal ..... and i couldn't say no to 200$....this kit is made directly for our cars so weight of our doors shouldnt hurt it..... and the entire kit only adds 50 lb to the car

For the record, that is the same amount of weight people will sweat their ***** off without A/C to save.

50 Lbs is a good chunk.

you can open them both way or you can restrict it to just up. I bought this kit becuase i was sick of our heavy awkward doors no need to elaborate we all know!! But guess what? And i dont mean to burst your bubble, but these open right into your pathway, and not any higher. I had them on for about 3 days. Took them off. Sold them. But like you said, you have a show car.
