Double-sided tape would work, but may set the emblems out more-so than sit flush. Spray-adhesive would work the best. Good luck.

Like he said, use a plastic razor or fishing line so you don't mess the finish up on the grill. As far as putting the new ones on, When I ordered mine they came ready to stick on. Otherwise use the right thickness tape.
I wouldn't use spray adhesive myself, but to each their own.

When I did my Berger panel I used spray-adhesive on the back of the 'S's and it worked flawlessly. To my knowledge there is no tape thin enough to make it look factory because the factory didn't use tape either.

I ordered a Z28 emblem that included the bowtie and ordered the SS emblems too and they both had a "type" of tape on them. (straight from GM)
I didn't try to put used emblems back on. I did however retape an SLP emblem and it turned out just like it was shipped. Used 3M emblem tape.
Thin grey doublesided tape. Not the thick white stuff in the craft section of Walmart. But 3M makes spray and liquid (comes in a tube) adhesives also. To each their own. GL

I was wondering about this as well. Someone reattached the SS emblem on the drivers side upside down on my car.

As long as you remember to pick them up off the driveway when you get home.
