how did you wash it? Are you sure it is from the poop or was it there before and you just saw it?

People don't realize bird poop is very acidic.

Depending on how long it was on there is could have etched into your clear. A good buff will get it out.

I had the same thing happen to me. A buffer and a little bit of time, and it came right out.

It could also be that you used an abrasive towel to wipe off the poop thereby creating a dull look on the hood.

Birds from America is a lot different than birds from Canada. Canadian birds don't **** up your paint and their diet is different.

I don't know why i said that, just wanted to i guess cuz i'm bored outta my mind.

Lol, regardless where the bird comes from typically bird waste is going to be on the acidic side of pH. You might try autopia.org ? Those guys on that forum really know what they are doing when it comes to problems with paint.

Pics?

Preferably close up pictures.

Some bird droppings/etchings will go through the base coat or crack the clear coat - you can't buff those out.

all bird **** is acidic and etches the paint. only time this isn't the case is if it comes off quickly or goes on easily. i don't mean that latter part to be funny, but if a bird ***** and it just barely scrapes the side of your car, you're probably fine. a direct hit on the hood and a couple of hours in the sun, you're screwed every time.

never park under trees!!
