The Firebird Trans Am has traditionally been known to have Blue as the contrasting color on a White car and (vice versa).
But that's not to say a White T/A (or any other white car) wouldn't look good with Black as a contrasting color. Actually I'll bet a car with White/Black paint scheme would look badass.
But, my advice is, don't simply copy the hood bird, from the car you have pictured, in a different color. Its cool looking, but its custom.
The way I see it is you have two choices. You can either customize your own "Screaming Chicken" Graphic in Black (or any other color) that no one else has or choose a Traditional looking bird to add to your hood. Simply copying someone else design is weak. Blaze your own path, man.

there was a white WS6 posted in another thread that had a black bird on the hood. didn't look to bad to me.
as for the one in the pic, that's a custom paint job, not some decal set. if you really want something custom/unique/original, go for it, it's your car and your money, do what makes you happy. i think it'll look good, especially on the right car, with the right mods/rims to pull everything together.

I'm the original poster- I should have emphasized the graphics would be black and my wheels are black - although the poll results were unanimous, those that took the time to provide some constructive feedback (vs a 1 word answer) were the ones that provide the highest value to me - I'll post pics when completed - including the custom black bird (less the fender graphics), possibly rear dual black rally stripes with black wheels and black out lights are all done and am optimistic I will be pleasantly pleased
