Make that hood for an LT1 T/A with the LT1 style WS6 front vents, and I'm all over it!!

Looks like it belongs on a honda civic, its just to busy and it becomes a focal point and not a whole picture

i like it. Without the extra side vents. Just leave the ones on the raised sections of the hood. I have so many ideas for hoods.

I have been waiting for someone to make a different hood other than the freekishly overdone WS6 hood, but I think I will continue waiting for either an original Superhawk, or keep my sleek beak. For me the hood is way too busy. Looks like a Superhawk, Firehawk, and a Mustang all jammed on to one to create an overly busy hood that reminds me of some of the Honda hoods w/ a million heat extractors. It would look better on a TA, but way too busy for the subtleness (<--- I mean that in a good way Formula owners ) of a Formula.

I don't have photoshop, so I cannot post pics, but I would get rid of the Firehawk extractors, eliminate the mustang scoops, and make the center devider between the nostrils more gradual and less of a sharp edge. Round the edges more.

Someone I think on page 2 made a photoshop of a WS6 hood w/out the center bar (the center bar is why I will never own a WS6 hood) that I actually like better if it was tweaked slightly. To me, a WS6 hood looks like a sleak beak that someone went to Summit and glued on those cheap fake plastic hood scoops on that have that goof center bar. Scoops look like an afterthought.

Not bashing your product. It takes a lot of work from design to development, just not my taste. But looks like a good amount of people like it so it should make some $$

We do not have plans to change the angle of the scoops on top of the nostrils...but thought we'd put the picture up for comparison.

I didn't do that one I just removed the side heat extractors and rounded the middle ones. Although without the side heat extractors, the sharp edges on the middle ones probably wouldn't be bad. Plus it looks really uneven on that shop...

Do it again & show all three, in one post.
I think the rounded edges would look okay with the side heat extractors also.

It's getting there. Jus' one pointer:

In the revised photoshop, the only thing that was "rounded out" were the corners. The straight line that connects from corner to corner is out of place with the whole hood, (and car mind you). In addition to rounding the corners, have a slight curve in the line as well. Use the shape of the nostrils as inspiration.

It's like almost there... the reverse scoops in the center ram airs just look like an after thought. If they mirrored the side heat extractors, then maybe, but as it sits, it's just not quite right. This isn't just my opinion, my wife who's a graphic artist and designer had the same thoughts... for what it's worth.

Didn't expect to see that photo in these forums... Guess who runs the graphic design and photography studios there...

For cost, simply look at what VFN currently offers and it should roughly be in the same ball-park, $450-$650 depending on bolt-on vs. pin-on etc.

Some comparison shots:

Current design:

Current w/ Lynx stripes (big fan of the stripes):

Angled extractors to mimic nostril angle, outboard extractors deleted:

Same with stripes:

i personally like the teardrop vents also. so if you did the hood with angled vents and the tear drop vents. i think it would look real good like that.

since the center vents are there to stay, i think it'd look best with the side extractors as well, just as long as both vents (center and sides) have the same shape/curve.
