Default What is the best Car Cover??

Ok, so after my car got keyed yesterday, I am investing in a car cover ASAP so once it comes out of the paint shop, no more open target. This will keep the elements off of it too, since the poor thing has to sit outside I really would like to get the best protection for my buck, and was interested in the SLP cover, but wanted to make sure it fits well, is easy to remove, and doesn't rub the paint anywhere.

I just bought one from Auto Zone. It is labeled as the Shield and is made by Budge Industries. It has a 10 year warranty. You would need size 3. It was $70. My son has one just like it for his Crown Vic and loves it.

I would perfer to have one fitted to the car. Only thing is, mine is a convertable, so the hatch covers wouldn't work so well.

Thank you all. This is exactly why I asked this question. Anyone else have good or bad things to say about the covers?

I have one of these.. it went through two deployments and a summer outdoors and no problems. I highly suggest getting a piece of rope to hold the middle part down so it stays secured on the car better when wind is blowing.

The black faded out after a few seasons but I was really happy with my purchase. Here's the link from partsforyourcar.com.

The one I have has a elastic band all the way around the bottom and fits snugly around the bottom of the car. I can take pics if you would like. Here is the info on the cover:

  • Superior water resistance made for use during heavy downpours
  • Material is treated to withstand UV rays and reduce fading of your car's paint and interior
  • Interior layer made of soft fibers to prevent scratches
  • High tech micro-porous film prevents mold and mildew
  • Complete barrier against dust, dirt and pollution
  • Elasticized hem for a tight semi-custom fit

Water Repellent Dupont material. Three-layer material, which consists of an inside and outside layer of spun-bonded polypropylene with a layer of micro porous film in the center. Built-in, reinforced, scratch-proof tie down grommets Comes with convenient storage bag.
OOPS. I see after I posted this that you found what you wanted. I will leave this info here for others.

thanks for the help! It seems that I will be going with the one from JW Motoring. I have been working Jhonathan all morning, and they are super helpful. They also give a GREAT military discount.
