I have never seen one done but I bet it will look very out of place. Maybe If you could find one that is very small.

Roof antenna:

not to be confused with a roof spoiler/diffuser:

Even though the above car has a standard mast antenna on the roof as well

I don't see why you couldn't make one work. You would need a long antenna wire to go from the roof around the side to the radio though.

EDIT: You might be able to redirect your stock antenna wire from the right quarter panel to the sail panel area and mount the shark fin antenna there

Make sure you dont just get the cover, it has to have the antenna under it.

Honestly, I've been thinking about doing this for a while, just have the find the right styled one. I shaved my antenna when I painted the car, so my radio is MIA...

I don't know why this thread is what came into my head at 1:15 while I was going to bed, but it did...

You might be able to pull it off with the right shaped "fin" if you put it in the DEAD center of the hatch UNDER the Trans Am's wing. Paint it stock color and it might actually look really damned good!

With that said, I'll let someone else try it first...

I agree transssam, im waiting to see what it looks like before doing it myself. By the way i thought about the same thing you mentioned wasn't sure what to think since nobody's done it yet. I assume it would be almost concealed between the wing.

I was just wanting to see if there's a better way to do the antenna so i can remove the stock antenna.

Hell, show me a place where I can buy one and if it isn't too expensive AND I can figure out how to install it I'm game. I've been wanting to get rid of my T/A's power antenna and Z's fixed mast deal but haven't come across any good ideas.

I HATE antennas...

EDIT: Alright I just wasted 5 minutes of my life trying to sort through shark-fin antennas on ebay, because most of them are FAKE, as in non-functional. WTF? Who the hell wants a non-functional antenna on their roof?! These must be the same fools who peddle fake portholes and super-wide rearview mirrors and stuff...

isn't that the vortex generator thing off the Mitsubishi Evo? I like Evo's but don't think it would look good on a f-body. But to each their own.

Fbodies have a round body. Evos have a square shape. This won't look good.
