some small changes on my 98 formula hardtop
i picked this car up not too long ago, it was a good place to start but needed a facelift badly! (no offense to the previous owners on here)
heres how i picked up the car
i started small with removing the "formula" lettering that looked like it had been painted with white out. i also removed the flaming bird stripes on the hood... they didnt really fit my style. so with a 3m eraser wheel, lots of time, and a gallon of goo-gone later....
i got the fourthcircledesigns b-pillar birds, front plate cover, and blackbird stripes with "346 ci" in printed.
next i had to take care of some other rigged stuff...
first was the rigged lighting that had an extra light bulb wired in it was sheet metal screwed into the lights.
i also had to take care of the windshield cowl. it was scratched up and cut for some odd reason?
so i bought some off of a member here and cleaned them up
new foam
and paint (sorry its a bad picture)

the tail lights were also hazed and scratched
so a few hours and buffing later, i also decided to VHT the reverse lights.
and getting everything back together... soldering and wiretapping the wires up.
also added a clear MTI lid and got rid of the k&n air filter that looked like it was from 1900. replaced it with a STP, i found that K&Ns allow more dirt into the engine and for me 1-2 hp isnt worth it. the engine got a quick bath and detail as well.
the car had really bad warped rotors, i got all new ceramic pads and rotors from work. they are painted red with silver brackets.
and heres it all back together. sorry i dont have any better back end pictures but i ran out of daylight
then came the thing that was pissing me off the most... the rims they are 16" and maybe 8" wide... the tires sucked and they really just made me want to kick my own *** every day i drove the car.
soooo... i bought a set of american racing rebels off a member on here on a deal too good to pass up they are 18x8.5 front and 18x10 rear, over the winter they will be getting a red lip and black powdercoat. i also added rear camaro markers so they are red and go with the body instead of the yellow.
and how it currently sits... still a lowering kit and 5% tint to come in the next week. after that i will be ripping it all apart again for a new build up.
let me know what you guys think! any suggestions is welcomed! thanks for looking.

they arnt i bought them off a member on here with the tires on them. i was thinking logically they would have 305-315 tires on them however all four tires are running 265s so the rears are stretched. i wasnt going to put them on but the last few weeks we have had really good weather so i threw them on for the next week or so... then the car is going in the garage and getting pulled apart.
im currently looking for some 18x315 drag radials if someone has a set

and the new or old wheels? im actually planning on powdercoating the new ones cause there is pitting in them now. im debating a red dish with black spokes
if it was any other color id VHT them but i think the red markers blend well with the body, it doesnt catch the eye.
