Guages in a/c vents?
I did a search on this, but didn't turn up much, other than pics. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Could someone please give me some info on this or steer <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> me in the right direction? Some sort of write-up would be great!
Thanks!

Mobe, there isn't much to write up. I put my Boost gauge in one of the center vents. Check out the bottom row of pics here >>

Order 2 5/8 inch gauges. The air vent pops out cleanly by holding the locking tabs away, one on each side in the back ring. You'll drill a tiny hole in the air ducting to pass wires through. The Autometer gauges fit like a glove - they slide in with a firm push, no moving around, etc. Just hook up the connections and test before you pop it in! In the event it ever has a problem, pop out the other vent covers and push the faulty gauge out from the rear.
I'm no master mechanic, but I did all of this in less than an hour (counting the time it usually takes me to find my tools...argh!)

Mobe,
If you turn on the heater and blow hot air thru the center vents for 5 minutes, it will soften up the tabs that you need to bend to remove the vents and help insure that they won't break off. Many people have had this problem. Bend the tabs "just enough" to get the vents out. 2 small picks work best here. There is a nice flat spot behind the right side vent of the center 3 that makes a great place to drill out and run your wires thru.
