Unless the rules have changed you need the VIN# of a car that came with CME and then just order the the tips as replacement parts from SLP eng.

You have to call SLP, you need to have your VIN for verification that the car is a SS, and they may only sell it if your car originally came with it, not sure on that one.

Or find the parts being sold in the classifieds.

I checked around Christmas...the tech I talked to said that all you need is a valid SS VIN...the car doesn't need to be originally equipped with the CME system.

SLP Performance has them, I ordered a set last week and I wasn't asked for a VIN. The price was $239.00

When I bought the tips it was about $50 or so for them and if you look at the date of the original thread this was a long time ago. Vin number was all i needed. I recieved tips in 3 days and total was something like $70. $200-$300 is crazy

Did you buy them directly from SLP or elsewhere?? $70 sounds much better to me than $239. I've never seen them new for any less than this...

These tips used to be $70 until SLP more than tripled the price for that additional reinforcement bar welded to the back of the tips. Now they run $239.

BTW, before that bar was welded to the back of the tips, they were notorious for breaking when an aftermarket exhast was installed (mine did).
