Yep! I did. But, I also cut/shortened the back side of the "vents" to make it a little bit more unique and/or prominent.

you can see it here> For your viewing pleasure!

I actually had/got and industrial "screen" (although I cannot reall the size/course) and applied it using heat and basically melting/forming it into the back of the grille

There are a few more pics of it on my site (in sig)

I'm talking about under the bumper. Maybe the screen will work too. A club member said to go to home depot but I don't want it to look cheesy.

The screen that I used is not like for screen doors; it's a much heavier, less dense, stainless steel product that I got from one of our manufacturing suppliers. It is used to take unwanted particles out of "molten" plastics as they are passed through it (the screen).

Oh, whatever right!
Let me know if you want or need any info that I might be able to give you.

I want it like this
http://www.rksport.com/rkstore/asset...s/01011203.gif
but behind the bumper and not behind an insert
I guess I'll have to rig something up.

OHHHHH! I get it now
I'm sorry I'm with you now...
That would/will be different. I'm sure that you can come up with something.. But, I think that you'll have to take the whole bumper cover off to get at it if I remember correctly. Then there is the foam behind it too! I don't think that it will be a problem and it may actually help you out a little by providing support

Please let me know how it turns out, it sounds interesting/cool. I'll watch for a post!

P.S. Are you planning on doing anything to the holes from the original grill mounting?

I did mine behind the WW grill. I got the stuff from home depo and was quite pleased with it. In person it looks great and not cheesy at all.

This is a comparison with my new insert on the left and the old WW grill on the right.

Here is the finished product. I also put it on my hood insert so it would be more fitting to have all the same mesh.

I did the same to mine. You can find pics on my homepage.

You need to remove the front Fascia. It's not really hard at all. There are several 10mm bolts under each fender. (Plastic Boxes) Also about 3 bolts where the Front Fascia meets the fender just above the side marker lights/Turn Signals.

When you remove the Fascia you'll see a molded styrofoam support. There will be two indented area's that you'll have no problem identifying. Cover those with some Gutter Guard from HomeDepot. It looks very similar to the Wings West Grating but probably a little tighter pattern. Now I know there are guys reading this that are about to comment on how you can do better with the grating material and I'd certainly agree.. The sky's the limit.. Get whatever you want, stainless Steel, etc.. The Gutter guard worked for me and IMHO doesn't look much different from the WingsWest material.

P.S. You can staple, RTV, HotGlue, Tack, whatever you have to do in order to hold the Grating to the Front Styrofoam. It's not going anywhere.. Especially when you put the Fascia back on.. It will help hold it in place and typically the grating will bend/Conform a bit..

It was very easy to do mine. Is all I did was take out my WW mesh and then cut some of my new mesh in a similar pattern. I did not hot glue or do anything to make it stay in. I just made it bigger than the hole and fitted it in there. I also never took off the front fascia. There is a little space you can fit your hand in between to get behind grill area and in front of the styrofoam (small area). Some tweezers of something with a hook comes in handy cause it allows you to hold on and pull on the mesh.

I did mine about like StealthStalker.
I took the bumper cover off.
Painted the styrofoam bumper behind the nostrils flat black.
Cut the gutter mesh larger than the nostril openings.
Set the mesh into the styrofoam.
Then put the bumper cover back on.
The bumper cover holds the mesh tight.
The mesh is sandwiched between the cover and the foam... doesn't move a bit.
The gutter mesh comes from the hardware store, mine was under $3 for a strip. One strip has enough mesh to do 2 or 3 cars... but plan to experiment with/and throw away a few squares. IMO there is no way to do this properly without removing the bumper cover.

I am pretty sure I had to use a much larger piece of mesh. I tried without removing the facia but risked scratching paint with the mesh. The facia is not hard to remove and I would recommend it to anyone that is not starting with a WW grille.
