Default What would you do?

Alright guys, sometime next week, my car will be getting a new fuel system to match the motor. Once she is tuned up ready to go, it will be time to work on the appearance. I have a ebony leather panels and matching plastic coming done soon, so the interior will be that color. Just looking for some things to do to make the car stand out. Im actually getting tired of the Zr1's maybe cause they are 17x9.5 all the way around or what?

I know the hooters plate will be hated on, just to lazy to break that bastard off and threw the hooters plate on it, cause since I drive a camaro, I have no teeth, hood slide on cars, and scream YEEHAW when going thru a corner. Thats what people say at the car meet, even though I do some of those things lol.

what would I do? Lower it! thats the absolute best thing i've ever done. It makes such a drastic change in the overall look. Those 17's won't look bad at all with a drop.

after that, little things: shorty antenna, clear turn signals (although the hooters sign flows nicely with the ambers lol), maybe some fill-ins for the rear letters. Ya know, the basics that wont break the bank.

cant go wrong with a mystic teal camaro, so it's looking good right off the bat, and the Zr1's do look good on there.

If you really want to make the car stand out, SAVE for things that will actually make it stand out.

it might take longer than you want but if your patient you can put aside a little money at a time for a NICE set of wheels like Iforged Aeros or CCW 505s. A hood will totally change the look of the car, Sunoco if you want something other than an SS hood, and the ORIGINAL Sunoco is the only hood I would put on my car. Filled in front bumper with polished fill ins

And "cheap" mods would just be, lower it, polished rear fill ins, body colored mirrors, clear corners, cut factory antenna, and maybe some corsa clone exhaust tips.

^Lowering will make a bigger difference in appearance than any hood or wheels. IMO

Also consider the mods crimson suggested and possibly a new grille.

What kind of drop would I be looking at? I just dont want to hurt the performance of the car.

BMR or Strano. looks great, performs great, not too expensive, and the installs not too bad at all. Drop it before rims or a hood, it will have a bigger/better effect on the overall car. I dont care what rims/hood you have on your car if you're rolling aroung looking like a damn silverado.

At the VERY LEAST, do the heater hose mod to bring the rear down some. I was very happy with that change, and it's essentially a free mod. That definitely helped hold me over till i swapped the springs out

BMR: i love them.

Like mentioned before lowering it will help with the overall look of the car, and while it wont make your car stand out, its at least a step in the right direction. As for the grille area I would go with the filled in bumper or an Slp type grille. Billet Grilles just look cheap IMO

Above pictured were BMR springs and Mine were STRANO springs, both similar, I just liked the CS from Strano better.

Yeah its all ready a really nice car, lowering it would make the wheels look a lot better,in the future I would love to get a set of fiske, boze,or ccws they cost a lot but they look the best,a sunoco style hood would look really good on there also,I wish I would have went with a sunoco style my hood only looks right with the drag set up,if you do change rims I would stay with a polished aluminum,I think that looks the best,I think chrome looks cheap compared to aluminum, look on 6le site and take a look at some of the cme kits, and the other valances they have, nice car man I love that color,I have to ask did you put a hurtin on that 350z

Thanks guys, was gonna do that to the front grille when it comes time to paint. Im feel like I am restoring this thing. As I try to change things little **** breaks, and it just wont stop. I dont think it was smart to start with a 168,xxx mile car but oh well....to late now.lol

As for the race, he is detuned. When the car had its original tune on it, holy crap that thing flew. We only raced once and it really was not a race. Were stopped at a light and right as it went green and started to roll threw the light we went. Both spun 1st, good chirp in 2nd while he spun, and got to third we were dead even. I think if we went from a real dig, I would have him to about 110 or so. But once I get my new fuel system and tune, I will have a better idea on who is faster

I'd lower it, clear corners, grill, maybe do the tailight panel with fill in's. That'll have a good/decent impact on the car, then when funds allow it, SS spoiler and a different hood. Oh yeah and de-mold the car also. De-molding would be about the cheapest thing you can do to the car, all it requires is time and effort.
