Re: Inside Gauges for Camaros...
We're not limited to the pillar pod, but anything else is a custom job. That being said, it is easy to fabricate a fiberglass or CF mounting point that fits in the center of the dash. Get some 3" insulation foam sheets at your local DIY store and use that to fabricate your mold. I'm afraid I don't have any pix yet, though. DO NOT, however, mount any gauge larget than 2 1/16" in that custom pod.

Re: Inside Gauges for Camaros...
I mounted a second oil pressure gauge on the steering column. I used the flat area where the turn signal stalk goes in. It's right in line with where the stock oil pressure gauge is and it doesn't block any other gauges.

you can get a pontiac TCS (or is it called asr?) switch plate, and drill a 2" hole in it, mount it where the cubby hole is in front fo the shifter. Just be sure to buy a TCS or Vert top switch to put next to it, (TCS would work for a purge switch)
Thats where i have a 2-1/16" autometer in my pontiac, but the consoles are the same between the cars.
heres the only pic i have of it.

Re: Inside Gauges for Camaros...
I have been considering putting gauges in the center A/C vents or at least one of the center vents on my Camaro. 5.0 Stangs can get an aftermarket plate to do it on their vents which are similar, so it couldn't be hard to do.
I have scouted it and taken the vents apart, they will hold up to a 2 1/16" gauge.
Try it and post pics... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Inside Gauges for Camaros...
I bet I am the only car with my boost,Nos,Nos auto meter gauges in the passenger air bag lid. I fiberglassed it in and vinl raped it to match the dash. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
