Car Accident last night.
Upon driving home last night on the Hwy, I encountered a problem. The truck in front of me ran over a sheet of F%#*ING plywood that was on the road . This caused the plywood to flip up in the air and, gravity doing its job, come down right in front of me, causing me to hit it. . Damage pics are at the bottom of the my link. Going to get it fixed soon. Share your stories if you would like.

Glad to see you are alright! Damage could have been alot worse from that stand point (I know that dosent help) Be sure and insist on genuine Gm parts. Dont let the Insurance if you turn it in screw you.

I had similar damage to the front end recently. Expect to pay a little over 400 for a new front cap. Since you are getting a new one, now would be the time to consider any custom work like shaving the emblem or the mounting holes for the grill.

Hey man, sorry about the car. I know exactly how you feel, except mine was worse and I had to get the whole driver's side replaced and now have a bent K-member. Nice price of $4400 for all my repairs. Good luck with it. She'll be back to her old beautiful self again, you'll see!

I've been very close to that situation, but that piece of ply wood flew out of a pick up truck in front of me n it went over my car n then hit the ground, so it missed my car, felt very lucky, we were in a supra though.

Re: Car Accident last night.
Could have been MUCH worse!
Last year about this time I ran over a rock in the road about the size of a bowling ball! There is a lot of construction going on around where I live, and taffic was pretty heavy (but moving) and I couldn't see it until it was too late. The truck in front of me cleared it without a problem. But there was no way I was clearing it and there wasn't anywhere to go. I had a divider to my left, cars on my right, and would have been rearended if I had slamed on the brakes and prolly would have hit it anyway.
Annyway... When I ran over the "boulder" it hit the k-member (putting a HUGE dent in that) actually lifted the frontend up off the ground and when it came down it punched a hole in the oil pan as big as my fist. As soon as I saw all the black smoke, and that I was losing oil pressure at a rampant rate, I pulled over immediately and shut the car off (saving the engine from certain doom).
To add insult to injury. The construction company would accept responsibility! I had to shell out 500 bucks! My insurance company claimed it as a colision! And then they messed up on the billing for th shop that fixed everything!
Damn! ...That was a year ago and it still pisses me off thinking about it!
