Appearance Poll... Well within the next 1-2 weeks I may be purchasing some item's for my car and wanna ask you guys what you think.
My 2000 Z28
Also, the 2 item's will be comming off a white SS. Will it require a lot more extra work to strip the paint for the bodyman?

Re: Appearance Poll... If you do get the hood and the spoiler, take off the Z28 emblems people will give u crap like "thats a fake SS" i think it would get annoying. least thats what i want to do. i love the spoiler, I think it will make your car look very clean.

Now I just thought that I might get a reply that someone will say "Why are you converting your car to a SS"... well I am not, I just like how both the hood and spoiler look. The ultra Z hood costs a bit to much, and even though I do like the 2inch cowl from VFN, I don't think its the best hood to fit my car.... I think I'm like steve "Thinks through every single mod till we get the perfect match <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ".

If you take the emblems off, or put SS emblems on, folks will give you crap. Definately don't put SS emblems on no matter what you do... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

If I did not have the hood & spoiler I would prob want them. Either way works.

Re: Appearance Poll... I have a z28 and I got an SS hood. Its just a really awesome hood, the way it looks and flows is great. Changes the whole car... Fake SS=no no though... Theres not much of a difference anyways between the two...

1) I don't have ANY emblems on it (sleeper look)
2) I have factory ZO6 rims and tires
3) don't have the little striped on the fenders
4) my car is lowered
If I were doing it on my car I would do the following:
1) get the SS hood (I'm actually thinking of doing when I have more money)
2) don't get the spoiler. I can't stand the SS spoiler, it just feels RICE-like to me.... (SS people don't bitch at me....just my feeling).
3) lower the car....the factory looks like a truck...

As for the lowering, I've made many posts about my car before and in most of them I notied how I have eibach sportline springs and the rest of the parts for a pretty much full suspesnion upgrade (I'm just waiting till Spring to put it all on).

As soon as it stops raining (may be forever here in Seattle) and the sun peeps out I will take some good pics of the completed engine and of course post. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Appearance Poll... Well I can get both the OEM SS hood and a OEM spoiler for $650, or I can get a Ultra Z hood for the same price. The ultra Z hood is nice... but from some angles it just doesn't look the best.

- Ultra Z: More unique, a little bit different.
- SS hood: Still a sweet lookin hood, not as unique since they do come on SS's.
- Stock: don't have to spend money on new hood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

As for the spoiler, you'd be amazed how nice the G2 touring spoiler thingy looks with a cowl hood. The one that's kinda like the old RS lip but a inch or so taller? Take a peak at verbs car I think it is.. he has that spoiler. I always liked it on Camaros and again, it's less common then the SS stuff. I've always prefered to leave the SS things to SS's.
