Well within the next 1-2 weeks I may be purchasing some item's for my car and wanna ask you guys what you think.

My 2000 Z28

Also, the 2 item's will be comming off a white SS. Will it require a lot more extra work to strip the paint for the bodyman?

If you do get the hood and the spoiler, take off the Z28 emblems people will give u crap like "thats a fake SS" i think it would get annoying. least thats what i want to do. i love the spoiler, I think it will make your car look very clean.

I would keep the Z28 badges on, I like how they look and the fact that I own a Z28.

Now I just thought that I might get a reply that someone will say "Why are you converting your car to a SS"... well I am not, I just like how both the hood and spoiler look. The ultra Z hood costs a bit to much, and even though I do like the 2inch cowl from VFN, I don't think its the best hood to fit my car.... I think I'm like steve "Thinks through every single mod till we get the perfect match <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ".

Leave the Z28 stuff on when you get the hood and spoiler.
If you take the emblems off, or put SS emblems on, folks will give you crap. Definately don't put SS emblems on no matter what you do... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Maybe just because I have a SS and look at it all of the time, lol, I like the clean look of your car and nice rims - looks great.

If I did not have the hood & spoiler I would prob want them. Either way works.

I have a z28 and I got an SS hood. Its just a really awesome hood, the way it looks and flows is great. Changes the whole car... Fake SS=no no though... Theres not much of a difference anyways between the two...

my car looks EXACTLY like your car (as it is in the pic) except a few things:

1) I don't have ANY emblems on it (sleeper look)
2) I have factory ZO6 rims and tires
3) don't have the little striped on the fenders
4) my car is lowered

If I were doing it on my car I would do the following:

1) get the SS hood (I'm actually thinking of doing when I have more money)
2) don't get the spoiler. I can't stand the SS spoiler, it just feels RICE-like to me.... (SS people don't bitch at me....just my feeling).
3) lower the car....the factory looks like a truck...

2001CamaroGuy - Well our cars don't look exactly a like now do they <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ? You just listed 3 reasons, hehe. As for the lowering, I've made many posts about my car before and in most of them I notied how I have eibach sportline springs and the rest of the parts for a pretty much full suspesnion upgrade (I'm just waiting till Spring to put it all on).

MadIceV8, where did you get those GS stripes? They look great on your car. I don't think they would look good on my black car but I am thinking about it.

Thanks for the compliments on my engine. I am really proud of the polishing I did myself. As soon as it stops raining (may be forever here in Seattle) and the sun peeps out I will take some good pics of the completed engine and of course post. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Tom Henry is now taking this idea and putting them on his camaro's (err <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> ). I mannaged to see a black Tom Henry SS with silver GS's and it looked really nice.

Well I can get both the OEM SS hood and a OEM spoiler for $650, or I can get a Ultra Z hood for the same price. The ultra Z hood is nice... but from some angles it just doesn't look the best.

I like the...
- Ultra Z: More unique, a little bit different.
- SS hood: Still a sweet lookin hood, not as unique since they do come on SS's.
- Stock: don't have to spend money on new hood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

I'm tring to think what will fit the "look" of my car the best.

I was looking though pictures of the Ultra Z hood and decided that its not exactly the look I'm going for. I've only seen a few pictures that I like the hood on (SLP's pic on the site, and a few on a black camaro), other than those I didn't like how it looked.

I think you should go for the VFN cowl... less common and I think the lines of your car would go well with it. As for the spoiler, you'd be amazed how nice the G2 touring spoiler thingy looks with a cowl hood. The one that's kinda like the old RS lip but a inch or so taller? Take a peak at verbs car I think it is.. he has that spoiler. I always liked it on Camaros and again, it's less common then the SS stuff. I've always prefered to leave the SS things to SS's.

Their's so many little combo's that I can do that it drives me nuts <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> ! This setup would give me the more unique look though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> . Right now I'm pretty much leaning toward the SS hood & spoiler with a set of 302 camaro stripes... but I'm liking the cowl hood and LG spoiler combo.
