Default Need Some Ideas for Line Lock Switch???

Anyone have any pictures of where they mounted their line lock switch - for that matter - any interior switches will do. Just looking for a good spot. Was thinking of removing the ASR switch and using another fog light switch. I was also thinking of mounting it in my ashtray??? Any ideas will help. Thanks in advance!

I put mine in my ashtray, perfect place for it both cosmetically and for ease of use in the burnout.

i have the slp kit so i just used the switch it came with.

Same here. I can also close the ash tray and have the switch out of harms way while driving.

I am also wondering about this. I have my cutout switch in my ashtray (no more room in there) and I have a fan switch in the ASR slot. Where can I put another switch so it is out of the way?

I have 3 switches in my ashtray with a purge button. I have a custom panel to hold all of the switches. I'll try to get some pics tomarrow and post.

I didn't have the TCS (or ASR for you camaro guys) so that's where I put mine. I have the factory panel there from a convertible, using the top up/down switch for my cutout. Looks like it was meant to be. No pics, but I can probably snap a few tonight if you really need them.

Thanks for the response. I have seen the convertible switch you are talking about... that is a good idea. Don't need the pics - I just want to see what kind of panel he made to fit inside his ashtray.

If you have controls on your steering wheel you could put it in place of one of those buttons.

and how are you going to do that?

the steering wheel controls are multiplexed on one wire, to the radio, they are not simple buttons that are easily adapted to more objects. They run a resistance to identify each button.

Let me know when you have designed/built and will share the schematics for the decoder box.

Thanks

Ryan

Thanks a million for the pics! Looks great! My only other questions is if the ashtray is still underneath the panel or if you removed the actual ashtray part. Might be a silly question, but my car is the storage bay and I can't physically look at mine.

I'm assuming the ashtray is gone... not much room for the switches if it's still there. Just my opinion though!

The ashtray is gone! I guess I could have left it but it would be more work to work with the ashtray there, besides I never used the ashtray so I didn't need it.
