Default Will this look ghetto or not?

i have a dark metallic blue 2000 trans am ws6 and for christmas and my bday i got the chrome stickers/decals for the front license plate cover, the side where it ses trans am, the back where it says pontiac, the driver side head light where it says pontiac, and ram air replacement decals for the hood. i think all those look sick on a dark metallic blue car. however i also got the hood inserts in chrome for where the air goes into the ws6 hood, and the ones for the sides of the car where there are inserts too. do u think putting the chrome inserts on would make my car look ghetto? i like my car looking like the tough american muscle car it is, but i cant decide if these are going to make it look like overkill on the chrome. what do you guys/girls think?

The grill inserts on the hood and side would look good if you also have chrome wheels. The ones on the front and back would be too flashy imo, and the ones on the side where it says "Trans Am" MIGHT work, but that would be pushing it.

With these cars, less is more. I have red accents on my car and took quite a few off because it was just too much.

i had the chrome decals on the front plate cover, the sides, and rear and i have got nothing but compliments on mine. My trans am is black though. I say just do what i had and it wont be to much. oh yeah i have the nostril inserts painted a silver metallic to. i really like the look of it. Just look at my signature below and you can see it all.

I've personally never been a fan of the inserts on the hood and side vents. My SS had the chrome scoop insert. That was the first thing that was changed on the car when I bought it. Took away from the hood.

I HATE the chrome inserts, it destroys the nice looking TA front, and the sides are a little much in my opinion too. they just look way too cheap and out of place IMO

I agree, chrome/bright colored inserts in the scoops and vents looks very "Vatozone" dress up section

No I've seen dark cars with chrome lettering accents it looks pretty good. I know a guy with a black WS6 that has all the lettering chrome and even a small chrome bird on the littler triangle area between the B pillars and the door glass it looks pretty good. Its the chrome door edging, chrome on the outside of the fender lining(whatever the f*ck that is all about), chrome door handles, etc that make it look all beaned out (seriously, some people have some god-awful tacky taste).

I'd say too much chrome would look tacky, but a few pieces would look good.

The bird front plate, side TRANS AM, and rear pontiac is perfect. Don't do the vents. They look like noodle strainers

^LOL. Noodle strainers..

Anyway, if it were my car, I'd put the front bird, trans am overlays, and the rear pontiac fill-in. I wouldn't do the drivers headlight or the grills.

All this stuff is easily removed/swapped though. Put the grills in, see if you like them. If not, just pop em back out!

Do the front bird, the T/A overlay, and the rear filler and call it done. The inserts just don't work IMO.

If you drive the car alot take my advice & dont waste your time or money on the front bird & headlight overlays cause they will get messed up from regular road debris. Especially if you use the chrome vinyl overlays. The "Trans Am" door badge overlays look good, those who dont like them are usually the same people who removes them & the door molding. Its an aquired look. The rear "Pontiac" fillers are always a nice touch. Fender & hood vents can look good but again its an aquired look.

In the end its your ride, do as you like. Some are gonna like it some wont, you cant please everyone
