So I got my DDM HID's
6 days after ordering ( good) Ok the ballasts plug needed to be reversed (easy)
My question is : What to do with the plastic ring that was used as a lid for the bulb cover? Did people break it off? Also I bought the hard-wire kit but they fired right up and I have a new battery (spare wires now?)
Other than that the kit looks good, bulbs are brighter with a small hint of blue (5000K )

you can break that ring off...or you can twist the bulb thing off and it'll slide off. I installed 2 sets in 1 day...the first set I just cut the ring off and the second set I figured out they actually twisted off....either way no biggie.

you actually twist the top off and you feed the wires through the ring and well its off...really no need for breaking. . . . a set should take like 10 mins...not even

yep plug and play. also you might wanna use that HID kit to hook up to the battery. could save your factory wiring in case...I just took all that plastic crap off you don't need any of it.

Yeah, they will fire up with out the relay harness. It is more for your protection (ie wires). For 12.50, I could not justify NOT using it. Since you already have it, why not?
