All relative Brian....came home tonight, had a couple beers, dropped it in 20min by myself.

No biggie and at this point, just part of the game, a few lessons learned, etc....but will be better in the long. Should be all back together next week.

Lol, body shop guy stopped by last night and pleaded I dont bring it with "those wheels" on it....makes him nervous

Thanks Brian....gonna be a shame to cover it with the plastic portion.

Engine fits better too . No Kmember spacers, plenty of clearance.....pretty pleased how it turned out.

That's amazing what you did with the cowl. I'm interested to see how it looks with the factory plastic peice back in place.

Thanks! Played with that a little late last night. Thought it was going to be a disaster but it actually didn't look too bad. Had to walk the hood seal in a new direction requiring a new seal surface on the hood, but all in all, a hell of of a lot better than I expected. More to come.....

Damn shame these engines sit so far back under the cowl.... you loose so much of the look. Now if it was in a 69'....

Thanks....I agree, it had to be done. Can't wait to put it back on for the full effect.

Well, back in the garage today to install the hydra boost. Kick-*** piece, but a knuckle buster too Got all the lines run, assist module in place, etc. Threw a couple of the "supporting" pieces to see how it all works. Think we'll be fine.....

Congrats on getting the engine to fit, especially at the stock height. Not to nitpick, as yours is my favorite build, probably of any F-body ever. (Seriously, I don't care if you never finish it, just so long as I get to keep looking at new pics of your fine craftsmanship, I hope this thread never ends.) It seems a shame to me to put such an exotic intake on your LS and then have it breathing in hot underhood air. Perhaps some type of ducting on the underside of the hood could direct air to the 8 filters, yet still allow the same clear view of the engine that you have now with the hood open. What do you think?

Appreciate the words and yes, breathing warm air is a concern. Not sure if it will be any worse than an air box set-up, but something in the hood that vents or allows fresh air in is being considered . Probably not going to do anything short term as I want this thing on the road in the next month or so. Would be a good winter project.....
