Default Tail pannel idea?

I'm posting this for a friend. He stopped by and was telling me about this idea so I did a quick photoshop. He wants to do the tail pannel as I have it done on the picture, I think he should just leave it without the SS badge in the middle. Give out your opinions and help him out.

Hmmm, different. Actually looks pretty good w/the center-mount exhaust. Keep the badge.

Looks very clean (even though the car is not), but loose the badge.

If he does do it, loose the badge. To me it looks too empty back there, like its missing something.

i think shaving the tail panel is one of the best custom mods you can do to a 4gen. f-body.out of all the things i shaved on mine it was the most simple to do.i think it cleans the *** of the car up nicely.i wonder why more people dont do this or other bodymods to f-bodys, its truly one of the most custom and best ways of setting your car apart. i dont think the emblems look bad there ,but in my opnion its a lot cleaner looking without them. i have pics of mine done without the emblems. speedoptions.com/profiles/driverview.php?id=36258

I've had my tail light panel smoothed out for quite some time although I did paint mine black and have the Z/28 emblem in the center.
Pictures are in sig.

Isn't that contradictory?

I agree it does look empty but thats probably because I'm used to seeing the "camaro" I would leave the badge.

My vote, leave CAMARO back there, and just fill in the letters. Looks 100x better imo w/ filled letters, then shaved/frenched like that, even w/ the badge. Just my opinion...

Wow, I'm glad this thread came up!
I was getting ready to shave mine this spring.
I am glad I saw pics first. I definately don't like it. I think now I am going in the exact opposite direction and am going to put the decals in the lettering.
It looks way too bare shaved, even with the emblems. Since shaving is not an option for me, and the letters look out of place body color, decals are appealing all the sudden.
No flames, just my opinion...
