Default Best SS Hood

I know I know i've done searches but haven't come up with an answer yet. It seems as there are several offering repo SS camaro hoods. Which ones are good? I have found them from $200 on ebay (not sure the quality but couldn't be that great) to almost 1k for a hood. So which ones have you guys used that work and fit good, and which ones do i steer away from?

So far i have seen:
$200 ebay hood??? didn't really say who made it.
Street Pro's for about $450
AIT for about $285
SunCoast for $745
VFN 3" SS hood, but it seems too tall for my tastes. Do they make a smaller one that looks like a stock ss?

What other companies make SS hoods? Are the Street Pro's, and AIT Hoods any good?

I would like to find a oem hood but haven't had much luck. If anyone has one for sale or has seen one let me know. Also I'm in a bit of a time crunch so i don't really have months to search for an OEM hood, thus looking for an alternative.

Car is sunset orange, but i don't care what color of hood i get as the entire car is getting painted anyway. If you have an OEM SS hood for sale let me know, i'm still looking for one. If i can't find one in time it looks like i will be trying a true fiber hood out.

Mine fit like a glove. Other than a couple of small dimples that I have to fix, you can't tell mine from the other fiberglass vendors products.

I'm looking for this also, but I don't want some crap aftermarket hood.

I'm still trying to find the part number for an OEM hood.

yearone has an "oem fit" SS hood for ~$2500, I could pick it up since they're here in ATL, but I'm thinking even a stocker from GM if I can get the part number would be less than that.

While we are on the topic of hoods, is there any company that makes a carbon fiber or fiberglass hood without any kind of scoop (same as the Z28 hood)?

I have the VFN hood, fits perfect and while it is tall you get used to it very quick... Kind of a pain when taking sharp turns though but like i said, you get used to it. If you go that route be ready to pay about $1200 after everything is said and done...

Lot of mixed reviews on "hood4sale" ebay hoods, but the majority of guys say they fit good and are worth the money. I'll be buying my harwood style hood from them. My buddy will do the body work and paint it so all together it will be about $400-$450.

Just don't expect it to be a "show quality" hood, I'm sure there will be a very small spot here and there that doesn't line up perfectly, but you will have to really look close to see it. At least I'm hoping that will be the case lol

Yeah keep a look out for a oem,and you could maybe even find one in your color,I sold my oem ss hood, and I have the vfn 3 inch ss hood, out of all the aftermarket hoods I've seen imo vfn has one of the best fits,I think you should go with vfns sunoco with the line, imo that hood owns all,I wish I would have got one but I'm happy with my choice, honest it could be the white but the 3 inch doesn't look crazy huge on my car anymore,
