Front Breather setup
Can you say "ABS coating on the cylinder walls"?
If you looked closer at the pics, you'd see that the air being redirected by the air dam is now blocked by that giant sheet of metal...
If not I can always redesign it or something. I am also going to be adding the Bukhart tubular front bumper if I can't find somebody to bend one up locally so the car should still be strong / safe enough.i daily drive my car with the filter a couple of inches off the ground completely exposed. i live in AZ like McNord, but i've driven it in some pretty intense rain, car runs better than ever with a little water injection

btw, looks sick! can't wait to see what it looks like with the bumper on! good job man

You've got a few things going in your favor. First is that your not sucking air from the bottom with that damn water scoop, oops, I mean air scoop.
Secondly is that your running 2 inlets. I think both filters would need to be splashed with water before it would be sucked into the engine. If only one filter was splashed, the air from the other side would be lighter than the water and the engine would pull the air in thereby letting the water drop down out of the other filter. That combined with your climate, I'd say water isn't much of an issue for you.
McNord, I've got some pics of a similar camaro with a similar air filter setup. I also have a lot of pics of front breather camaros I could send you.

So I got a used long block and I took it out to eat on a sunny day only to get hit by a sudden flash flood. It stalled in some high water and a wrecker towed me to higher ground. In trying to crank the engine I broke the starter casing on one side and the block on the other side. Luckily it was all repairable. [/B

Also, there are chromed and polished twin filter kits for the 97+ vettes. They would be sharp looking. I've got a bunch of pics of those kits as well if you want them.

would be cool it you could do something like this but instead of coming around and wrapping around the front, make it wrap around the back of the two holes on the bumper from the backside. I think it would make for a cleaner look than having the filters just sitting there.

I am going to be making my own grill, similar to the Sunoco car & when I do that I will be cutting the whole area open but until then I am going to leave it as is unless I run into problems.
