Not too much, wasn't able to stand back & look, cars on jack stands right now so I'm not sure. I thought I had a pic with the nose on but I guess not, I should have more pics in a few days.

My first though was, what are you going to do to support the bumper cover? But i see you have that covered with the Bukhart tubular impact bar. does this sit flush up against the radiator or is there some room back there?

^^^ If your talking about the bar, it sits right behind the nose above & below the opening & uses the stock bumper bolt holes. If you mean the intake, it sits about 5-6" away from the radiator at the botton & gets closer at the top.

sorry yeah i was talking about the intake. You should be fine with getting air to the radiator than.

I;m saying its gonna overheat........won't work. Gonna cause a pressure hump in there and no air flow will be rammed in there. Doesn't work like that.

crazy idea, i think that it will flow air to both motor and radiator. i think that picture D looks best. i think that maybe you should have no metal piece and just the two filters hanging in front of the radiator exposed. then everyone will shut up about airflow, even though they might have a point....

it's not as hard as you'd think, since i blew up mine i don't like driving in the rain and avoid standing water at all costs

I'm water shy too.

You've got a few things going in your favor. First is that your not sucking air from the bottom with that damn water scoop, oops, I mean air scoop.

Secondly is that your running 2 inlets. I think both filters would need to be splashed with water before it would be sucked into the engine. If only one filter was splashed, the air from the other side would be lighter than the water and the engine would pull the air in thereby letting the water drop down out of the other filter. That combined with your climate, I'd say water isn't much of an issue for you.

McNord, I've got some pics of a similar camaro with a similar air filter setup. I also have a lot of pics of front breather camaros I could send you.

yeah mine wasn't repairable lol number 8 rod broke in half and took out chunks of 7 and 8 cylinder walls but some how missed the crank entirely lol

Were you going to cut out the center section of the bumper cover or leave it in?

Also, there are chromed and polished twin filter kits for the 97+ vettes. They would be sharp looking. I've got a bunch of pics of those kits as well if you want them.

let the radiator and condenser breathe from the bottom; separate the cai from them by putting a wall on the backside if you plan to keep the filters just sitting there like that.




would be cool it you could do something like this but instead of coming around and wrapping around the front, make it wrap around the back of the two holes on the bumper from the backside. I think it would make for a cleaner look than having the filters just sitting there.

I have a bunch of pics of front breather camaros already, I think I got them from you a loooong time ago, but I would be interested in more pics of the kits you have shown...

I am going to be making my own grill, similar to the Sunoco car & when I do that I will be cutting the whole area open but until then I am going to leave it as is unless I run into problems.
