Fuel Rail Cover Part Numbers?
i did try a search, but i want to make sure
i am going to the dealer tomorrow
here's what i found:
12556455
12559261
i think these have the two holes for the fuel lines, am i right?
what trimming is needed with these? driver side, passenger?
GM parts direct has the parts for 30 bucks each, think the dealer will be about the same, just trying not to pay shipping, but i will do whatevers cheapest
thanks for all your help

Those numbers look about right. I cant remeber exactly though. Maybe someone else can confirm it (I know I wrote it down somewhere...). GMPartsDirect.com wants $18.81 each. Its the dealership that wants at least $30 each (according to GMPartsDirect the GM List is $37.62, which sounds about the amount the dealership wanted to charge me).

Re: Fuel Rail Cover Part Numbers?
i have another quick question:
i have the LG Strut Tower Brace with the three points. it bolts in at the top and the left and right. i'd rather not remove that becuase of how hard it was to get on there for LG.
Could i install the Fuel Rail Covers with the strut tower brace installed? it does sit kinda low

Unfortunately, I havent installed mine yet and I dont have a STB yet either so I cant answer that question. Maybe someone else can help you there. I tried the search feature to see if I could find anything for you, but I'm not getting anything. There used to be a wealth of info on this. They must have archived/deleted the old info.
Also, your image links dont work.

I finally found where I wrote down the PNs. Those are indeed the black ones with slits for both fuel lines.

Re: Fuel Rail Cover Part Numbers?
Do you need both of those part numbers in order to order the set or are they different? And how come they are so expensive? Something has to be wrong, i don't think those are the ones with the double slits for the fuel lines, can anyone confirm this? Has anyone actually purchased these?

Re: Fuel Rail Cover Part Numbers?
One part number is for the left one and the other part number is for the right one. You can get both from www.gmpartsdirect.com for about $36 (shipping extra). You can also get them from the dealership for rouhgly double that. All the after market ones are double what the dealership charges (or more).
Usually the aftermarket ones are pre-cut to fit on an f-body (not always). The stock Corvette ones need to be cut/trimmed to fit properly on a f-body. Here is a link to someone's site where they trim the covers to fit:
http://www.sysadminzone.com/ta/z06cvrs/
They used the Z06 covers which only have one fuel line slit. The ones in this thread are the 1998 Corvette covers which already have 2 fuel line slits.
I agree that the aftermarket ones are expensive. I would rather get the stock ones and modify them myself.
