My 2011 Rebuild Thread
#81
I'm sure the professional way to do it would be to weld and grind and touch up with filler. I just couldn't figure out how to weld and my buddy who could never showed up. I just used duct tape under the hole to keep the qbond from falling through. Then I used a pencil to push through the holes and create a little pocket/separation around the hole so the qbond would have enough area to grab to.
I have done something similar with tape on the back and I how I planned on doing It.
Thanks man.

Damn time flies! I haven't done crap for the past month and half. Started helping my boy with his build and honestly it's just so damn hot these days that I haven't even been motivated to put the car back on jack stands
I have everything needed to finish this build just need to get a little motivation. Hope to start up on it again this weekend.
Here are some of the goodies I have. Jakes Performance 4L80 w/transbrake, huges fp, circle d multi disk tc, and a few other miscellaneous parts.

It's been a pretty long time since I touched this car. Well yesterday my good buddy Roger came over and motivated me to put the motor and trans in the car. We started around 2pm and finished up around 8pm. Took a while because we took a lunch break and I kept forgetting to do a couple of little things here and there I kept having to lower the motor down again to hook up some of the nitrous lines on the back of the intake.
Gonna work on it some more the rest of the week and hopefully she will be fired up this weekend.

I am so confused by this setup. At first I thought the solenoids were pulling fuel from the rails, the first pic makes it look they they are connected. Then I scroll down and see what I believe is an independent fuel system and regulator running from it to the solenoids. WTF?
Awesome job BTW. The hard lines for nitrous and fuel are very nicely done.

There are two rails(one for the fuel rail for the motor and the other for the direct port). The direct port is fed from the standalone. The other kit is fed from the driver side rail fuel rail.
