Which tint % to pick?
Hi, as the title says im in debate of what tint % to choose on my 96 red formula. The limit is 30% in my state so im stuck between 35% and 20% i want something dark, but not hard to see out at night, but also to look nice in the day. I'm still having trouble deciding and if anyone has input that would help, thanx. I know some people around me that have 20% and have never gotten hassled by the cops.

i had 5 on my s10 and had to roll the window down when I backed up haha but it looked good! i would say 15% bc if you dont have factory tint then you gotta remember it wont be as dark as other vehicles that already have factory tint. 15 sounds dark but probably wont be that bad

I used to have 5% all around and loved the look, but driving at night and backing up was something to get used to.
As mentioned already, its what you can get away with, legal is 35% here and after years I finally got pulled over for my tint and the cop ripped it off. I decided to go with 20% on the sides this time hoping that he doesn't pull me over again. It still looks good and alot easier back up.
