Default Black exhaust tips?

Anyone ever seen or have thought about painting their exhaust tips black or black chrome? Thinking about it on my pewter ss and black rims, I have 5% tint all the way around too. 3.5" slp slash cut tips... Any thoughts? Or pics??

I think it would just look like they're super filthy and haven't been cleaned...ever. Lol.

I have the stock rectangle Z28 tips and they are almost black. I'm one of the very few members on here that love the rectangles

Yeah but dark black or gloss or black chrome I think you would be able to tell the difference between that and just dirty metal.

And I actually do like the rectangles, a couple years ago I saw a chevelle that had bowtie tips that was pretty cool. Kinda small diameter tho

Mine are black powder coat. Car is white, rims are black, and the tips come out of the side, boom tubes. I think the black is perfect for that.

x 2 on that one. I've never seen an exhaust setup out the back bumper of a camaro that doesn't look really awkward

I wouldn't do it just because if I seen it, I would think one of two things. 1) they would look dirty. 2) It would look like your trying to hide the tips and if so, just run dumps.

I really don't think matte is the way to go (unless you have the factory rectangle stock tips), and because I feel so strongly that it isn't the way to go, I'm wasting my time and uploading some larger pics of the Maserati

It's some sort of factory offering with the MC Aerodynamics Package (an option on the car). Not willing to research it for anybody, but I'm sure if you researched it you'd be able to find out if it was powdercoating or what it is.
