You really don't even need the blow dryer. Fishing wire itself should do the trick!

Removing the emblems/molding is very easy and straight forward.

After using the fishing wire to get the emblems off, your going to need to remove the left over tape as well. You can just use your fingers to roll it off carefully.

After that there may still be some residue. Clean the area first, then use a polish to work the rest of it off. Then hit it with some wax to seal it, and you'll be good to go!

Make sure to post pics when your done

Fishing string like the others have said. I used goo gone to get most of the tape off after I used my fingers to get the big chunks off. After that a nice polish or wax will make it look good.

Blow dryer makes it easier to remove the double sided tape.

Worked great for me when I removed the emblems off my fenders.

Yea I understand what you mean, i'm not trying to bash your idea . But I personally would rather not risk damaging the paint with a blow dryer.

No problem!

I'm curious to see how this looks on a Black T/A. I removed my sidemolding, but am still undecided on the emblems. People have said it would look better without them, but for some reason I feel like they should be there.

I'd like to see yours when finished though, because if it looks cleaner I might end up doing this tomorrow.

Keep us posted!

Use a blow dryer!! It makes the glue easier to peel off...it would take a lot to hurt the paint. Using a heat gun would be easy to hurt the paint.

Goo Gone (NOT Goof Off) Is your friend at getting the residue off. Use it liberally. It wont hurt your paint.

I also used a blow drier and fishing line. Drastic improvment.
