55hp if you paint flames on them.

This is a dumb question but I have an 01 v6 with the stock hood. Would the hood be able to shut fine without hitting the tower brace. The reason Im asking is b/c the v6 brace sticks up higher than the LS1 due to the alternator. Thanks

Nah, all the guys who posted pics in this thread with STBs just drive around with their hoods open all day.

It's a very dumb question, because the V6 brace is designed for the V6 hood...............

I use it on my LS1 because it gives easy access to the oil cap and to the nuts to remove it.

Not gonna lie, it took me a long time to finally do it. By far the most rewarding investment done to the car, to date. The LS1 swap, that is.

The other stuff is small and helps a bit:
Removed washer fluid reservoir
Painted front bumper support assemblies & bolts
Black bolts/washers for lower airbox
Painted hood latch release mechanism
Polished ABS module/lines
White ABS module retainer clip from '01, vs. blue clip from '99
Plasti-Dipped oil dipstick handle & trans dipstick handle & various bright colored plastic bits
De-stickered battery
Body color painted strut tower brace
Polished airbox clips
rubber air intake deflector thing from Camaro SS
WS6 lower airbox
Relocated some grounds

My daily driver but still clean under the hood

And an old pic with the cold air intake on but the car runs awful with it in AZ so I put the stock intake back on.
