More goodies for the car.. pics
Back from the powder painter are all the engine brackets.. they were all ground smooth then powdered in charcoal grey metallic.. Brackets done were for the PS, AC and ALT. I also had the rear caliper hangers ground smooth and powder painted the same. Same for power steering cooler. The fuel rail and timing cover were done in red -- notice the painful shine of the AC evaporator

Here is a test fit pic with the brackets.. I know the timing cover seems a bit much but remembe that most of it is hidden by the water pump:

You guys don't know this secret, but Steve told us in the Admin section that he chrome plated his pistons too!

Actually I didnt do THAT much chrome.. mostly powder paint.. I chose the dark grey metallic color becaus it goes well with pewter/red and it hides any dirt that builds between cleanings..
Thanks for the comments
BTW.. I think my car is too slow for GMHTP.. lol.. at least with me driving it in the 3120

Your doing it right, nothing less than perfect.
Way to go. I have another (at least) a year to get near the job you are doing.
I hope someday I will have the chance to see your car in person. First class, nothing but first class, way to go. You will by far have the nicest SS.
Your car is AWESOME! Keep the pics comming.
I knew you would be the first to really make perfection happen on an SS, Kudo's my friend, nice work.
Oh yeah...as always, super job. Very tasteful.
FWIW, I don't think the red cover is too much at all.
