I think the write up was way too many coats and sanding and stuff. All you need to do is clean them up, tint, and clear coat. If need to smooth out or fix scratches or something on lens then wet sand first but can do in 1-2 coats.

The red TA looks good other than reverse lights wont work good now and looks illegal and too dark which i why i stayed with smoked look that I bought like side markers.

a light coat of vht is the way to go..you can tint your whole light and your backup light will be bright enough to shine through. I was worried about this also but i think it looks better with the whole thing done.

It does look better but I like my bright 45 led reverse lights and if slightly tinted, would take away from that. It's fun if have manual to blink people with them if too close cause so bright. Maybe one day I will do a light coat and some clear to slightly haze them all.

those are actually not too bad! im a big fan of saying NO to these kind of things...but with some tint on those, they wouldn't be half bad.
