Default Project "blingmobile" update :) - pic

S L O W L Y but surely its starting to come back together.. I should get my LS6 intake and SLP radiator next week so I can get this thing running again.. Got the chrome parts for the PS pump back so that is together and back on the car. Braided lines should be done on monday along with the powdercoated brakes. I had the Hotchkis bar Chromed so that will be back next week (although its the last part to go back on).. I will post tomorrow with name and #'s of the chrome and powder places I used since some of you asked..

I also ordered ZoopSeal for the polished stuff (that i didnt have clear powdered) and my 98 water pump should be here next week also (thanks to valvegod)..

In this pic you will see the new PS pulley installed, red timing chain cover (with silver washers), chromed pulley washers (easy to do), chromed TSC bracket, polished evaportator, chromed STB brackets and silver ceramic coated AIR tubes..

<img src="http://members.aol.com/steven0932/motor3.jpg" alt=" - " />

Im going to get a few more hose ends (chrome) next week and I will post up what sizes to get and costs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I will also be fabbing up a new TB bypass mod using a AN fitting brazed to the cooling lines and a few other tricks, should look better than the tube method.. I will keep you all updated <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Wow! Very nice once again. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> I have a few ideas that can be aided with more information from the shops you mentioned.

Very, very <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> . Do you already have a ASP crank pulley? If not looks like it'd be a great time to add one. Car looks spectacular. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

The LS1 block and heads are aluminum. Is it possible to fully polish them? That would be nuts! Where's Todd at?

Awesome Steve! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Your car is stunning! The only way I could get away with spending that much time and money on my care would be to kill my wife first. Some day I will drive to Corona and see your car first hand. I'm sure the pictures don't do justice to what you have done.

Thanks for all the comments.. I dont know about being in "another league" since there are so many nice cars out there but im trying to catch the overlooked stuff and show that our new breed of musclecars can be given the same TLC as the classics

Honez: The car will debut at the SLP day and Super Chevy Pomona so I hope to see you there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Unit213: Yes you could polish the entire block and heads but keeping it up (polishing) would be next to impossible. Ive seen it done on some trailered show cars.. now a powder painted block is another story <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Im dying to see it all back together (and dynoed).. i miss driving her..

Thanks again..

Didn't you do some H/C work too while you had the motor apart? If so, what heads and cam did you go with?

That is the sweetest looking engine ever! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> The detail is nothing but perfect, great work!

You need to bring it to the Seattle Roadster Show!

You would take first no problem.

Keep the pics comming... <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Why don't you avoid all complications and just dip the entire car in chrome. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I need a shirt that says on one side "almost banned by Dave" and "unban MARK IXZD 150" on the other side <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

I did a TR 220 cam, 918 springs, oil pump, chain and such.. no heads this time (WAS going to be a quick project but then...)

Hey, I dont have that much chrome in there.. more stuff was powder painted <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I still want to be able to race and drive it.. no trailers for this car..

Thanks again for all the comments.. I should get a lot done this week <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
