Default new Magnesium wheels on my Camaro

ok so i bought a really nice set of magnesium vette rims with brand new tires, thought id show of some pics of the car. and have some questions on what else i can do for appearance mods to the car, as that i was wondering on either painting the berger panel semi-gloss or the same color as the rims with camaro in black, also thinking about hockey stick stripes and or manta stripe in the same color as the rims. or any other opinions by you guysIi'd like to hear them

btw excuse the car being some what dirty its been raining here.

It probably rides and tracks real nice with that set up. I'd get a gc coil over kit on for the front, and do the heater hose in the back, and drop it .75" - 1", run bilstein's or koni's all the way around. With wheels in the front being narrow, I'm making the assumption this is a pure street DD or fun car.

a 1" drop would be a perfect stance especially with those LT's

what kind of springs could i get that would be good with the stock shocks to lower it an inch, or should i just wait to get new shocks and springs all together, plus id still need to get an adjustable phb, also i have one suggestion for manta and berger panel same color as the rims anyone else agree or any other suggestions on appearance.

Stock shocks won't handle a 1" drop. You'll be on the bump stops all the time, and eventually the shocks will fail. You're in the Chicago area, so what is your priority, ride, or appearance?

you need some black open ended lug nuts.
and personally I would stay from the matching Berger panel and manta, stick with flat black.

Why would anyone buy open ended lug nuts? Youre asking for the stud to rust and seize the lug nut on the stud.

I have aluminum open ended lug nuts, been running them for over 4 years. I've never had the slightest issue with rust, seizing, or breaking.
It would clean up the look of those wheels very well, because those chrome ones aren't looking good on there.

Those are some bad *** wheels btw, did you get a good deal on them?

Get Qtp LT headers and drop it. I have Qtp LTs and my car is dropped 1.75". My collectors on the headers have not one scratch or dent on them. the rest of my true duals, is another story. but not that bad. lol

Tires do looked stretched. I would run 275 or 285 rears and 255 fronts

i was overall looking for opinions what to do for appearance mods like in the OP, plus as i know i need to lower it but as stated with my headers sitting low they may scrape, so what spring/shock combo would be good for a 1" drop.
I have one vote for matching berger and manta to the wheels and one to not do that, i think ill photoshop something up later to see, and the from tires are 245 and the rears 275, i'm not gonna be changing the tires anytime soon because they are brand new and came with the rims when i bought them, oh i also got them for $800 rims/tires/lug nuts and locks.

its wierd that those tires have no "shoulders". Anyway Get some groundcontrols adjustable coilovers with whatever shocks you decide. konis, billstiends, kyb. ground crontrol makes coil over kits for specific shocks. even stock. This way you can adjust to any hieght is good for you. if not get some drop springs. most companies are almost the same. Just subtle differences. there a lot of people on tech that buy crap just because they are a fad. unless you get heavily into racing you wont notice much of a difference of most after market springs. Ive driven many different lowered cars. Best advise, watch where you drive and change driving habits to commodate the lowered cars. sorry to say the older model SLP LTs are probably lowest hanging headers out there.
