i was waiting for my turbine to get back from coating so i decided to polish the compressor. its an S88 turbo.

Before



I started off grinding the numbers/letters off of the housing




then i sanded everything with 60 grit.



then i went over it with 150 grit, then 320, then 320 wet followed by 600 wet.



then polished it with a wool pad on a buffer.

 

Nice work! Much better looking than that rough finish that it had.

 

Looks good man. If you want it mirror-like, try working your way up to 2000.

lol I was gonna ask the same exact question. After the 15 lbs I got left I'm definitely trying something new.

Looks good. I prefer that look than the textured look as before.

 

Polished turbos > cast 100% of the time for sure!

And that's the same protein I use, good ****.

 

Looks much then the cast but yeah keep going with it and try to get a mirror like finish on it
