thanks guys,

its decent now that i have the qa1s on it, i have had the ame stance since the car was new but have had 3 different setups and this one is by far the best, i have some fine adjusting to do yet, everything is hotchkis except swaybars and torque arm which are still stock. i have bmr lca relocation brackets that are going on and havent decieded on a arm yet but they are needed now that i have the wider tires in the rear with the ccws, i get wheel hop, where i didnt with the zo6's. with the smaller sidewall you feel the bumps in the rd a lot more, its no caddy but its not a board with wheels either so ya i say decent..... drags airdam, exhaust and cutouts everywhere though lol

Beautiful car, but thats the first time Ive ever heard anyone say that about QA1s. What were your other setups, sportlines on monroe shocks? Im asking because you can get a DRASTICALLY better ride and handling with some good sport shocks and good springs and still have a low stance. Ive been in a car with Qa1s before and its no treat(you can definitely tell they're drag shocks), especially for the price (considering you can get bilstiens for cheaper and they are a vastly better shock).
Sorry for the hijack, just wanted throw the info out there.

mot at all, you are right but the qa1s are the best, the car was ordered with bilstiens and eibalchs from the factory and that was probably the best it rode, i went to sportlines and it was horrible, the springs were so soft i could compress them in the air with my hands squeezing them like doing butterflies without even trying or using muscle...if that makes sense lol, then the hotchkis springs were stiffer but too high for my liking so with the hotchkis in the front on the coilovers and prokit springs in the back this is how she sits, it is not a comfrontable ride by any means it rides like a lowrider but not like a board i say its decent because ive rode in many lowerd cars and trucks the bilsteins were very nice shocks but i couldnt get the car as low as i wanted without cutting the springs, which i did run also for a little while, i am thinking about a 4th setup is in the near future but not quite sure yet, i never thought to leave the bilsteins in the back, they were good

Yep, thats the issue with the sportlines, they are way too soft for the drop which makes you constantly hit the bump stops, combine that with shocks that can't dampen the springs properly and it only get worse. And the QA1s are drag shocks, only made to transfer weight (no matter how you adjust them) so that means they can't/wont deal with limited travel or higher spring rates. They get either way too soft feeling or way too rock hard, the valving is just shitty, and they aren't even gas charged. Floaty, disconnected/ loose, and jarring all at the same time.
Id suggest doing Koni SA's (front and rear) with an adjustable spring perch on the front and (maybe) custom springs in the front (around 500 to 600lb/in springs are a good starter) or Strano springs, and then the "jason upper mount mod". For the rear, Strano (or custom around 150lb/in) springs with an adjustable spring mount to the axle (you can search for this, I think AFCO makes it). For being lowered this should ride the best (and handle the best as well).

thanks for the info, i havent been on here for a while, didnt know about the jason upper mod. i do hate how the qa1s adjust and plan to sell them off, they only have maybe 2,000 miles on them as the car is mostly a garage queen, if it rode better i might drive it more but then its still not ever gonna be a daily
