Black Headlights?
I have a 2000 Camaro SS. I am looking for black headlights to replace my stock chrome headlights but don't want Halo lights. I just don't like the look.
I have done a search and had no luck finding what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated on where to find some. Thanks.

I think you are reffering to the infamous "whistler mod". you can mod your exsisting headlights to have the black housing. its a modification which consists of taking off your stock lense, painting the surrounding chrome areas black and re install your stock lense.

That is what I have in mind. I was hoping to find one already made rather than opening my headlights and modding them, but that is something to think about.
Any how to's around to see if it is something I want to tackle myself?

What 808 said or if you have clear lenses that say came off projectors, you can use them as well. If your worried about messing them up, I think Amazon sells either full Whistler or half Whistler, I can't remember. Another thing also is if you take and paint them yourself, try using low adhesive tape to mask off the area you don't want painted or at least take what tape you do have and stick it to your pants or shirt cause we all know what that'll do but it will stick stick enough to get the job done.
808- are yours painted with flat black paint?

You can get them off Amazon, it's where I got mine. I needed a new housing anyway so I picked them up.
The company is called Auto Depot (I think), cost me about $140 shipped. There is a thread in this section about them with pics I posted

I'm doing the whistler mod, I just picked up a set of OEM headlights off ebay for $40 so I won't have to use my own. Just going to wet-sand the lenses cause they are a little faded.
Here's a link for the whistler mod- https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...fect-pics.html
I'll get some before and after pictures tomorrow if you want to see.

Yep auto depot is right...$150 shipped to your door now... If your lens are not clear then the whistle mod is a waste IMO I had my lens done and the mod still looks like sh_t meaning they damn near have to be NEW headlights to look nice.

^ Those look like factory headlights. I think in the description it says something about them being painted or something like that. It's hard to tell exactly if there fully stock or inside painted cause I'm on my iPhone and when I clicked the link, it took me to the mobile version.
