What's with your grill? Looks like it's a solid flat piece of plastic from the reflection. Any better pictures of that?

Which is why I refuse to buy a new hood. No way can I justify that much on an appearance mod.

I'd rather have my sleek beak body colored than an unpainted R/A hood anyday.

Sounds reasonable if they do quality work. Remember the are painting both sides to do it right so it's like painting 2 hoods. They would have to prime and block the hood as most if not all of the aftermaket hoods are'nt very straight and usaully have pinholes here and there.Quality Materials alone will be $200+

It's actually a peice of carbon fibre I made to block the holes so no air goes where it's not wanted....same for the foglight openings.

I sure hope not.

Not really a appearance mod to me. I saved 21# by going to the carbon hood. That much weight off the car that high was a difference I could actually feel. I hammer the **** out of this car and know it very well.

Well for me a hood would def be an appearance mod.

I don't really care about weight savings, between the 2.73's and the A4, the car is slow as **** anyway...21lbs is the least of my worries, haha.

Is your hood a VIS or Carbon creations? still a little heavy for a CF hood. Those hoods have a fiber glass frame just laminated with CF. But any weight reduction is good on our heavy cars. I had a DGmotorsports CF hood and it was much lighter than my friends VIS cf hood. maybe by 10-15# lighter. I could lift it with my pinky. lol
